Across centuries, jewelry has survived—not because it is indestructible, but because it has been cherished. Your Iaia piece was made to last.

Caring for Your Gold

Our gold has a distinctive matte finish. Over time, it will deepen in tone and become more polished with wear as the gold mixes with your natural skin oils. This is its beauty.
Gold this pure is naturally soft, and more prone to bends and scratches. To best protect your Iaia pieces, remove your jewelry before:

  •
Heavy lifting, sports, or housework
  • Swimming, showering, or using saunas
  • Applying lotions, perfumes, or hairsprays

Gently clean with a soft cloth and store separately in a fabric pouch or box to prevent distortion, scratches, or tangles. For clasps and earring hooks that bend out of shape, mold them back into position with strong fingers.

Cleaning Tips

For a gentle cleanse:

  • Soak your jewelry in tepid water with a few drops of mild, non-detergent soap.
  • Use a soft cloth or a soft-bristle toothbrush for detail work
  • Rinse well and pat dry—never rubGold chains can soak a little longer (up to 15 minutes) before rinsing and drying.

If Something Feels Off

If a clasp feels loose or a stone moves slightly, set it aside and have it checked. We’re always happy to help.
